Synopsis
“Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force” is the second entry in Wuershan’s ambitious Fengshen Trilogy, an adaptation of the 16th-century Chinese classic novel Investiture of the Gods. Continuing on from this 2025 fantasy-action movie is the vast exploration of rich Chinese mythology and cosmic battles.
Set in the Kingdom of Xiqi, the story places Xiqi under attack by the dark forces of the Shang Dynasty. The movie and its mystical Kunlun immortals chart the exploits of the heroic figures Jiang Ziya and Ji Fa. Writing the defense of Xiqi, they rally civilians and allies in a fight for survival and justice.
Taishi Wen Zhong is leading Shang-Dynasty’s assault with Deng Chanyu and the four Mo Family’s generals. The film’s first half showcases the struggle between the two factions, both of whom have their strengths, whether it is martial or sorcerous.
Similar to the first installment of the movie, “Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force” carries on the epic saga of divine confrontation and human spirit, but with a more in-depth exploration of themes of loyalty, power and the unpreventable struggle of good against evil.
